Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One returns to The Quorum.

It’s Tom Cruise’s world. We’re just living in it. 

You certainly wouldn’t be blamed for thinking that, given how ubiquitous the superstar has been. TOP GUN: MAVERICK opens this weekend, and now, not coincidentally, Paramount has given us the first trailer for what is now known as MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE DEAD RECKONING PART ONE. 

MISSION isn’t scheduled to hit theaters until July of 2023, but it shouldn’t surprise you that Paramount is giving us this trailer to play in front of millions of TOP GUN filmgoers this weekend. 

At The Quorum, we have rules about when we start tracking a film. Movies are added when they are within six months of release. Tentpoles are added up to a year in advance. 

We have been tracking MISSION since way back in October 2020, but the title was transferred to the sidelines when it was moved to its current July 2023 date. But given that we have a trailer, we will break precedent and re-add the film to The Quorum. For you, Tom Cruise, we will make an exception. 

In about a week or two, we will know the full impact of this trailer on the MISSION scores. Stay tuned for that.
