Weekly Unaided Awareness Chart – CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD Debuts; GLADIATOR II Stabilizes

The Weekly Unaided Awareness Chart includes any film more than six weeks from release, registering at least 1% unaided awareness (UA). This metric is highly correlated to opening weekend gross. Early signs of UA more than six weeks out often translate to box office success upon release.

The first 2025 film debuts on the Weekly Unaided Awareness Chart. As expected, CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD lands with 2% unaided. That’s not a bad start.

GLADIATOR II hangs on for another week, while BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE registers 4% unaided in its final week. Next week, B2 will find itself within six weeks of release, thereby graduating from this chart.

Meanwhile, SMILE 2 is stuck in the on-again-off-again cycle. Three weeks ago, it was on the chart; two weeks ago, it fell off; last week, it reappeared; and this week, it fell off. That’s a pattern WICKED knows all too well, though this week, WICKED is spending its second week in a row on the chart, something the film hasn’t done since May.

Elsewhere, DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE is the top film for the fifth week in a row, rising from 10% to 12%. Also, IT ENDS WITH US and ALIENS: ROMULUS – both within six weeks of release – register unaided above 1% for the first time.
