New to The Quorum: TICK, TICK…BOOM!

Today we welcome TICK, TICK…BOOM! to The Quorum. Based on the off-Broadway musical, BOOM! marks the directorial debut for Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Miranda has been busy as a producer. The animated film VIVO debuted this week on Netflix, and he was also behind IN THE HEIGHTS from earlier this summer. Critics have been kind to these two films, but audiences didn’t exactly show up for HEIGHTS. At the moment, only the good folks at Netflix know how VIVO is performing.

While it’s still unclear if Miranda can deliver a theatrical hit – as producer or director – BOOM! is on the radar as a possible Oscar contender. So keep an eye on this one to see if it picks up steam through the fall.
