Weekly Unaided Awareness Chart – Get Ready For The Return Of JOKER: FOLIE A DEUX

The Weekly Unaided Awareness Chart includes any film more than six weeks from release, registering at least 1% unaided awareness (UA). This metric is highly correlated to opening weekend gross. Early signs of UA more than six weeks out often translate to box office success upon release.

JOKER: FOLIE A DEUX first registered unaided awareness above 1% on January 11th, the week it was added to The Quorum. It charted for two months in a row before falling below 1% on March 7th. It hasn’t been back since. But that’s about to change.

That’s because FOLIE was one of the clear winners the week after an impressive introduction at CinemaCon, followed by the public release of the trailer. With more than 167 million views under its belt, FOLIE is destined to return to the unaided awareness chart next week.

How high will it go? DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE climbed to 9% unaided after its trailer debut during the Super Bowl. BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE jumped to 5% after its trailer drop, and BAD BOYS: RIDE OR DIE has been at 3% since its trailer came out three weeks ago. With that context, we’d expect to see FOLIE land at least 5% next week. We wouldn’t be surprised if it went even higher.

This week, CIVIL WAR scored the highest unaided of all films, rising from 3% to 6%.
