Who knew that Ethan Hawke, star of the 1994 classic REALITY BITES, would go onto have such an interesting and diverse career? I don’t think many of us would have guessed that he would be a four-time Oscar nominee – twice for acting (TRAINING DAY, BOYHOOD) and twice for writing (BEFORE MIDNIGHT, BEFORE SUNSET).
Bottom line, we’re always curious to see what Hawke does next.
That brings us to THE BLACK PHONE, which debuts today on The Quorum. Not only does this horror film star Hawke, but it’s directed by Scott Derrickson who cut his teeth on genre films like SINISTER, THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE and DELIVER US FROM EVIL before hitting the big time with DOCTOR STRANGE.
In other words, this should be a very cool project.
