It’s a new year, which means a new methodology for grading our posters. Previously, we would survey people and ask them to grade the posters from A+ (“awesome”) to F (“awful”). This time, we’ve changed the wording in the direction of intent. Now, respondents are asked to grade the poster from A+ (“Makes me want to see the movie”) to F (“Doesn’t make me want to see the movie”).
This new methodology did not yield any A+s or A’s, at least this month. ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA and SCREAM VI both earned an A- grade, though truth be told, we at The Quorum are partial to the QUANTUMANIA and SCREAM posters that landed in the B+ tier. We’re especially fond of the NYC subway map artwork.
Horror continues to show well, with THE BOOGEYMAN and EVIL DEAD RISES going SCREAM VI in the B+ tier. And, in the battle of the of boxers, the intense CREED III poster knockout the rather lifeless one-sheet for BIG GEORGE FOREMAN.
